Opinion: Brokers Accused of Steering Seniors into a Medicare Advantage ‘Trap’

An article in MarketWatch by Brett Arends highlights a recent study on Medicare Advantage, led by Dr. Lawrence Casalinosenior advisor at the Center, Dr. Amelia Bond, associate professor of population health sciences at Weill Cornell Medical College (WCM), and Dr. Dhruv Khullar, the Center’s director and associate professor of population health sciences at WCM. 

Arends goes on to mention that major insurers, such as Humana, Elevance and Aetna, are facing complaints from the Justice Department for allegedly circumventing regulatory barriers through insurance brokers.
